CINCINNATI ZOO

I worked as an Education Intern at the Cincinnati Zoo. I worked as operational support for their summer camp. I worked with children in pre-K through eighth grade teaching multiple curriculums and handling ambassador animals ranging from arthropods, reptiles, mammals and birds. I contacted parents about camper needs, created promotional content for summer camp and managed camp inventory.

Teen Leadership Council

HISTORIAN

I developed an Instagram campaign and captured videos and photos for the Houston Zoo’s teen volunteer program (2021-2022).

CONSERVATION MENTOR

I taught first-year teen volunteers at the Houston Zoo about conservation and the Houston Zoo. I also drafted emails for the Houston Zoo to send out to partner about plastic reduction actions.

NATURALIST

I talked to guests about conservation and animals at the Houston Zoo (2020-2024).

BIRD SAVING

I was a founding member of the Houston Zoo’s teen-led Bird Saving Campaign Committee. I conducted bird surveys at the Houston Zoo to track the migratory birds that use the zoo as habitat. I also talked to zoo guests, volunteers and employees about Lights Out for Wildlife and avian conservation (2021-2024).
