In June 2022, I co-hosted a Houston Zoo Instagram takeover as the Houston Zoo’s Zoo Crew historian. My co-host and I planned 10 Instagram stories and nine timeline posts with a specific focus on avian conservation. In the 10 Instagram stories, we utilized boomerangs, polls, asks and sliders to teach conservation while engaging the audience.

The timeline posts showcased the work teen volunteers at the Houston Zoo were doing to save birds. They also presented actions the Zoo’s social media audience could take to save birds in the wild.
